Employers are to identify their workers’ training needs and obliged to pay fully the training programme. Training programmes could be in-house, public or e-learning by our foreign trainers. Prior approvals must be obtained from HRDF. Claims will be paid upon submission of the online claim form by the employers after the completion of the training programme. The claim form must be signed by an authorised officer from the employer’s side or any officer holding the post as specified in the claim form.

Financial assistance in the form of training grants may be considered for all types of training programs tailored to the needs of employers registered with HRDF. Approval from HRDF must be obtained before training commences. Upon completion of the training program, employers and training providers claim form must be submitted via online application. HRDF would debit the cost fee directly from employers' account and pay the training provider. All copies of receipts or supporting documents must be certified by the employer.
FUTURE WORKERS TRAINING SCHEME
This scheme is to apply financial assistance to fund in-house or public training with the aims of offering an employment to the trainees once they have completed the training. Employer has to identify the future workers and submit application at least seven (7) working days before training date commencement with a proposal and letter to undergo. In-house: 4 hours to 1 year, 5-20 pax; Public: 4-7 hours with certification, unlimited pax. It is mandatory for trainees to be offered employment upon completion of training.
SME Training Partners Scheme
The scheme is organised by PSMB in collaboration with training provider to offer training program either public or in-house. The course fee will be debited from employers’ levy balances. Registration form for enrolling the programme must be submitted to PSMB by email or faxs at least a week before commencement of the programme. Claims via online form can be made available at the training venues and employers are required to complete and submit the form to PSMB upon the completion of the course.
Computer-Based Training Scheme
The scheme enables employers to purchase training software without prior approvals from PSMB, or to develop computer-based training software, e.g. Mobile Learning Apps and Learning Management System (LMS) with prior approvals and three quotations. The scheme encourages employers to train their employees through the use of training software packages without any instructors. The software is solely for training and learning purposes. Besides, Information Technology Scheme is to complement this scheme whereby employers are allowed to purchase computers (1 unit : 5 employees' ratio) subject to a maximum of RM25,000.00 once in every 3 years, and monthly subscription of internet connection.
